The Feywood as it is known by the locals in the town of Flow is ruled by a Nymph Queen named Merihope. After the death of her beloved, Ekat Kassen, Queen Merihope was heart broken. Her tears raised the level of the Nymph’s flow eventually forcing the town out of the small Kassen’s Hold. Seeing the friends and family of her lover in distress, the Queen promised to watch over the new town of Nymph’s Flow, but limited the townsfolk inside the woods surrounding the small city. The Feywoods were off limits as none of the fey are made to experience the distress and loss of loving one of the human folk.
Venturing into the Feywood was giving yourself willingly over tot he whims of the Fey and the villagers understand the risks. The exception was made though for the townsfolk to bury Ekat in an ancient crypt, interring his bones in a place of honor, above a simple sarcophagi used to inter Asar and his mercenaries, as well as the townsfolk that lost their lives in the bitter struggle that claimed Ekat Kassen.
Every year, the fey renew their watch over the town of Nymph’s Flow as the villagers make a pilgrimage to the crypt of Kassen to bring back the Everflame. This year, should be no different.
